Introduction
The program implements the relationships between the pressure drop and the volumetric flow rate circulating in a generic pipe.
It is possible to graphically display the relationships and/or use the calculator section to size a generic pipe.
The diagram is highly customizable (colors, graduation steps, visibility and limits of the various properties) and easily shareable as an image or link.
The application is implemented entirely in the front-end as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and therefore, once installed, it can also work offline on both mobile and desktop; Furthermore, there is a multilingual implementation (currently Italian and English).
The graph allows zooming, scrolling and dynamic resizing; furthermore, clicking on any point provides the main properties.
The calculation method is based on the Colebrook-White formula.
User guide
- Settings : allows you to customize the graph (colors, graduation steps, visibility and limits of the various properties);
- Processings : allows you to graphically represent transformations starting from 2 points. The points can be defined starting from 2 generic physical properties and can be connected via a straight line with or without an arrow; It is also possible, among the various options, to customize the type of line, the color, the names of the points and the type of marker. There is no point limit and it is therefore possible to show any type of physical transformation. You can also customize the name of the transformation by clicking above the text entry.
- Calculator : allows you to calculate all physical properties starting from 2 generic properties.
- Snap : allows you to customize the mouse snap to the grid (on/off, grid, custom step).
- Download : allows download in PNG or SVG format.
- Cloud : allows you to save, load and share the diagram complete of all the customizations and transformations entered. Obviously it is also possible to modify and delete saves already made. The links can be made public and therefore visible to anyone who owns the access link or private and therefore visible only to the account that created them. You can change the URL of a sharing link to adapt the interface language.
- Language : allows you to change the language of the page.
- Pipe sections : allows you to graphically display the pressure drops of the indicated pipes as the flow rate varies.
